Sometimes we don't have any ideas to set up the new artwork in the wall. Interior designer Eleanor Büsing provide some suggestion of the hanging art. The details as below:
Height is important
For large individual pieces, aim to hang artwork at “eye level” or slightly lower – roughly 57-60” from floor to center of the artwork.
The horizontal standard is not at the bottom
When hanging a row of artwork in different sizes, align the pieces at their center points (which should be your established “house height”). Don’t line up a row of pieces by the tops or bottoms.
Combined hanging
If you like the idea of a gallery wall, but want something more organized, stick to a grid format, especially if your artwork is similar in size and shape.
When hanging a gallery wall, consider the group as a whole. Hang an “anchor piece” at the correct height, and spread out from there.
